My Darling Son, Danial

Dear Danial,
Today has not been a good day to you. You did not achieve what you expected. As parents, we feel for you, your frustration is ours as well. We feel your pain. Take your time to grief over the lost battle, but not too long. Cry if you want, it helps to release the stress. Remember, you are not facing this difficult time alone. We are here for you, always.

Abang,
This is only the beginning of many obstacles in life ahead of you. There will be triumphant times, jubilant moments and not forgetting the heart-wrenching ones, like the one that you had today. You have to be brave enough to face those challenges, always remember both of us will always be by your side, you may fall back anytime, but be sure, my son, that we will always be there to catch you.

Danial,
In the next couple of days will be difficult for you, friends will start talking about their future plans, going to boarding schools, MRSM and so forth, let them make their plans, don’t be despair, share their happiness. At least the path for you has been cleared, you know where you will be next year.

Abang,
From this experience, I believe there is lesson learnt. We learn from our mistakes, what don’t kill us will make us stronger, ok?
As the eldest in the family, your brothers are looking up to you, they will emulate what you do, so Abang, you know that you have to show them the way. Be a leader, in order to do so, we will guide you.
First and foremost, always be close to Allah, perform your prayers on time, everytime. Remember Allah will never let anyone who ask in his dua emptihanded, Allah is ever so forgiving and Merciful. Let our life be guided by Him. Ask from Allah, and you will not despair.
Second, be thankful for what we have (Qanaah), insyaAllah, what Allah has given us is enough for us.
Third, for whatever that we want in life, we must strive for it, there is no easy way to success. Hardwork comes before success.

Danial,
Life does not stop here. So, let’s pick up the pieces and we move on! Believe in Allah and InsyaAllah life will be better for you in the future to come.
